Night Senior Care Assistant
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Service: Astley View Care Home
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.85 per hour + Paid Breaks + Overtime paid at £15.35 per hour
Annual Salary: £30,248.40
Hours: 8pm - 8am, two-week rolling rota:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Evermore Care is seeking dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our new service, Astley View, in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mentor a team while delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:
- Be a visible role model, mentoring and guiding Care Assistants with compassion and confidence.
- Take responsibility for the wellbeing of residents, promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful daily experiences.
- Administer medication safely using our electronic system and ensure accurate records, including the management of controlled drugs.
- Liaise confidently with healthcare professionals and families, maintaining open and supportive relationships.
- Monitor residents’ health, escalate concerns, and adjust care plans and risk assessments to reflect changing needs.
- Maintain high standards of care through regular supervision, training support, and quality assurance practices.
- Support the induction and development of new team members, creating a culture of continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, health & safety legislation, and company policies at all times.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in elderly and dementia care environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred, high-quality care. - NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
